We're are so pleased with our Wednesday night Prix-fixe deal. And such a deal it is - our customers are just loving it! And we love it too, since it brings us a full dining room on Wednesday nights! It is a chance for people to try things they might not try ordinarily, it gives Kevin a chance to make some new dishes in a limited format, and it brings the DR staff a boost in their mid-week income. A win-win if ever there was one.
From top to bottom the pics above show the menu we offered last night:
An antipasto plate including caponata, our own fresh mozzarella, a tomato bruschetta and roasted peppers was the starter.
This was followed by Kevin's beef shank raviolis (from St. Brigid's Farm beef, of course) in a light beef broth with fresh corn, zucchini, mushrooms and cherry tomatoes.
Dessert was a blueberry clafouti with whipped cream.
The recipes I've linked to are not the ones used by our cooks, but they looked good to me.
