Well, our Creek sure has risen...Radcliffe Creek is at it's banks, and the little holding pond beyond our parking lot is no longer holding. The back of the parking lot looks like one big pond. And, as the first photo below demonstrates, our deck now overlooks a fine water view. Once more, we can offer water front dining! Or water side dining? Water view dining for sure!
Above is the "holding" pond, which is usually where the staff parks.
This is how it looked this morning when we made the turn to the back of the building...Yikes!
Radcliffe Creek was only a few inches under the bridge that goes over Route 20. Tropical Storm Nicole has dumped quite a bit of much needed rain on the area; the ponds and creeks just couldn't handle it all. Ninety minutes after we got to work, it had already started to recede, and luckily we don't have to worry about a later high tide flooding our lot! Still, it was a pretty amazing sight this morning.
