A BIG one to Michael Stoltzfus, one of our own Kent County born and raised, who traveled to New Orleans several years ago and in 2008 opened the bistro Coquette. Now that is a big accomplishment in and of itself, but there's more. This week Mike was nominated as a semi-finalist in the iconic James Beard Awards, in the running as Best Chef South. Winning this award means winning the Oscar of the food world! Congratulations Mike! you are worthy of the accolades and we hope you make it to the top five!
Other noteworthy local news, Tom Creegan, local co-owner of Brewer's Art in Baltimore, stopped by with a few samples of his beer, which is finally going to be available locally through Legend's LTD. We've got the classic Resurrection Ale and La Pétroleuse. The later comes in a 750, which means more to share. We're pretty excited to have these fabulous beers, about as local as we can get without housing the tanks right in our own parking lot.
