...check out this legislation in Mississippi that would prohibit certain restaurants from serving customers that they deem to be "obese"! Just what restaurants want to be, the Food Police. I was talking with some people (okay, it was my brother and his wife) last night about how the new smoking ban in Maryland has taken things a bit too far by forbidding smoking in vehicles that are transporting children under a certain age, public or private vehicle. Where does this stop? When do we start taking responsibility for our own actions? When the government tells us what we can and cannot eat (think of the foie-gras ban in Chicago), that is just way over the top. Be afraid, be very afraid.

As an overweight ("obese" is such an ugly word) smoker who loves foie gras, I guess I am to stay home and guzzle my slimfast, huh?
