Our Kitchen Table has gotten some play lately, but I've been forgetting to get the photos of the participants, until these two young ladies last night. Friends of Walter, they came in at 5PM, which put a little stress on the kitchen to be ready on time!
On Thursday night the Mmes. Ill and Dutton came in; we were screaming busy and short handed in the DR, so they got quite a view of the inner sanctum! Last Saturday Pete's folks sat there, which was also a little busy and so also quite a show. It's fun having guests sit at the Kitchen Table, especially when we are busy and the action behind the line in crazy - then it's fun for the guests as well.
Pete's dad asked me if other restaurants have tables in the kitchen and I assured him that they do - one of the most well-known might be at the Inn at Little Washington; now that's a kitchen that I bet doesn't get hectic...their kitchen looks nicer than most dining rooms!
