Happy Birthday to Brooks Tavern

We're One Year Old today. Hard to believe that we made it from here to here and finally to our First Anniversary in this wonderful space. We've been having fun this week sharing in our celebration. We've collected a few business cards for our drawing on Saturday for the Chef's Dinner, and from them I am compiling an email list (Randy says "what a surprise!") to use as some in-house advertising. I'd like to be able to contact our customers when we have something special coming up - maybe the arrival of softshell crabs or the delivery of St. Brigid's Farm fresh veal. Our prix-fix dinner last night was quite popular, so much so that we are thinking of making it a regular weekly event, perhaps featuring items from our Colchester Farm box, like those garlic scapes on the Mahi. The only disappointing part is the lack of coupons brought in for the donation - that is probably due partly to poor advertising on my part. Anyone who has one can bring one in anytime this week, not just tomorrow!

Thank you, all of our customers, friends and family, for helping this past year be a success. We couldn't do it without you! As we head into our New Year with a continued determination to provide the best food and service that you have come to expect of us, we also are starting our 22nd year as restaurant owner-operators in Kent County, and while it doesn't get any easier, it definitely stays interesting.
