I know I'm an idiot at this computer thing; I know I spend way way way too much time on it; I know it is a time-eater. But I still feel compelled to start a new internet project...
This morning I heard something on the radio about a WebSite that lets you start you own "social networking" page. I gathered it was something along the lines of FaceBook and MySpace, neither of which I subscribe to. But I thought, wouldn't it be sort of interesting to have a "MySpace" for restaurant workers, specifically restaurant workers in Kent County. I don't really know how these things work, but I have a General Idea, and so I googled the name and found what I needed and lo and behold, we have a Page for "Kent County Restaurant Workers". I anticipate a slow start, but I'm hoping it could become a place for those embattled employees of the local restaurant scene to state their case, sub out their shift, even air their grievences, as long as everyone remains professional about it. We'll see. It's a new genre for me, so it may end up being discarded if it fails to deliver. And it's still in the 'molding' mode, so bear with it (and me) while it shape-shifts into reality.
It is for employees of Kent County Restaurants only, not for the general public. If it works out, maybe the next one will be for Kent County Restaurant Supporters!
