Last night was full of celebrants at Brooks Tavern. My aunt and uncle, Jean and Lank Baldwin, came in celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary...man, they must have been mighty young when they got married back in 1948... There was a 60th birthday party on Table 16; and we had Geri Bristoll's big milestone - the Bristoll's have been customers of ours ever since we first came to town in 1986 and last night Mr. and Mrs. Bristoll celebrated her 80th with a dinner at the Kitchen Table. They seemed to have a pretty good time!
This is the view of them from the line, as they eat their steak dinners and chat with the Kevins.
But the most impressive birthday was Beatrice Stretton, coming in to celebrate 102 years of life. She started off with her usual bourbon and orange juice at the bar, with family and friends on both sides to honor her longevity. The main comment seemed to be that last year she had red hair, but now she's a blonde...It was alot of fun, all these milestones being celebrated at Brooks Tavern last night; we certainly enjoy being a part of it all.
