A Few Hours This Afternoon.

At one o'clock today we felt the building shake, like an Aberdeen boom had gone off. The customer I was talking to joked "Oh, I guess your mother is here!" (inside joke there) It wasn't until a man came into the dining room to tell me to call Randy, that a car had hit the building, did we realize what had happened. They took the driver away unconscious in an ambulance and then the job of removing the car began. Our biggest worry didn't start until they turned off the power, at 2:30, with no idea when it would be turned back on. Luckily the cables were unscathed and the man in the cherry picker flipped the switches back on at 3:30. All in all, a bit of excitement at the corner of High and 20.

Roy Mears came to help shore up the building, right under Miles' office!

They turn the power off before the car is removed.

The cables might be compromised from the car scraping along them.

The two Kevins watch and wait.

Delmarva guys doing the inspection of the cables give us some encouragement
that things aren't too bad.

We're good to go. The driver of the car apparently had some medical issues that could have resulted in her losing control of her vehicle. All we can say is she was very lucky
she didn't hit the pole head on.
