Here's one reason why: a big crate of bok choy, fresh picked and delivered by Joseph Towner, who grows organic produce for the Farmer's Market and area restaurants. He has also brought us mustard greens, kale, and spinach this spring already. Along with Cathy's asparagus, we are headed to that point where all the green stuff on the plates is coming from Kent County. That's why Kevin loves the coming months, when the produce is local, plentiful, varied and of the highest quality. It makes his job that much more interesting. It may be more challenging in the darker months, when he has to make carrots appealing for the umpteenth time, but come spring, when the produce starts coming into the back door, that's when he is happiest.
