We made it through the third busiest night in our short history last night. Parent's Weekend at Washington College definitely put a boost in our Friday night traffic pattern, but we also enjoyed seeing a good bit of local and regular business. Thank you so much for putting up with the hectic dining room, the hostess who was a little deaf and a lot rushed, and the general chaos. Hopefully no one actually felt any of the latter... Thank you all for the support!
Tonight might possibly be more of the same - unless I've jinxed it here! We pretty much have a party of six or larger every half hour or so, including a 10 at 8 and an 8 at 9. Lots of calls, lots of people wanting to book tables. So far (so far, there I go, jinxing us again...) we are fully staffed, the ice machine and walk-in seem to be operating in a normal fashion, and all systems appear to be in "go" formation. We look forward to the challenge, and I hope I have time to be a little more social, despite this annoying bucket-over-my-ears condition that I am suffering.
And tomorrow is Sunday. That's timely, eh?
