Last Night The Snow Won

Radcliffe Railroad Bridge behind BT
Out the back door.

But we are back on top this morning.  BackYard Buddy had the lot cleared and the sidewalks shoveled when we got here a little before 8:30.

Last night was a different story...it was mostly just rain, which was pretty much a downpour at first, complete with thunder and lightening.  Suddenly however, a little after six, the cold front got into high gear and the heavy rain turned into equally heavy snow right before our eyes.  We had three tables of two in the dining room, all of whom had gotten their main courses by this time.  Kevin went out with some salt and came back in to declare us "closed".  It took about an hour to clean up the kitchen and get out onto the road.  Which was fun.

But this morning the sun is out and the snow is already melting.  The county had plowed our road - which is very unusual in itself - and we are open for lunch. We had enough of a snow day last night, we don't really need/want anymore!

Here's Kevin, tea in hand, brushing the snow off the car,
which we had parked at the end of our lane, just in case!
