Ice Cream Trail

When Kevin and I were on our year long drive around the country (many) years ago, we followed quite a few "trails", some of them foot paths, some of them auto routes.  The latter were usually food related, as in the "fried chicken trail" or the "meat-and-three trail".  Imagine my joy when I read in the latest Delmarva Farmer about Maryland Department of Agriculture's launch of the Maryland's Best Ice Cream Trail!  Yes, Kevin, there is an ice cream trail, which currently includes seven Maryland dairies selling their own ice cream right on the farm.  (Speaking of which, we stopped at Hopkins Farm Creamery, en route to Henlopen State Park near Rehoboth Beach a weekend or so ago, and sampled some Delaware farm fresh ice cream, right outside the loafing shed.)  Kilby Cream, whose ice cream we sell here at BT, is on the trail, as well as farms from Washington to Worcester counties. Check out the link and get your passport before the summer ice cream season passes you by.

Not a bad trail to get on, eh?
