Rumor Control

I guess at first we thought it was pretty funny, the idea that Kevin and I were going to be the new managers at the now defunct Riley's...ha ha funny funny, where'd you ever get that idea? But now, as the story continues to surface, maybe it's time to take defensive action, although in this area, it is a very hard thing to do, control rumors. And I realize that this venue is probably not the best place to fight it - I even wonder if this venue is how the stupid rumor got started to begin with - but it's all I have right now... So, tell your friends:

• WE ARE NOT INVOLVED WITH THE OLD WHARF INN.
• WE ARE NOT INVOLVED WITH RILEY'S.
• WE NEVER HAVE BEEN.
• WE NEVER WILL BE.
• WE WOULDN'T WANT TO BE.
• WE COULDN'T BE.
• WE DON'T HAVE THE MONEY TO BE.
  
• THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO CONNECTION BETWEEN BROOKS TAVERN AND WHATEVER IS HAPPENING DOWN AT RILEY'S.

In some ways, stopping a rumor is almost as good as perpetuating it, although we have been known to take ads out in local publications to squash business harming stories that occasionally float around; this talk today is not that big a deal, it's just annoying.
