Our Colchester Farm box this week was even more varied - and the carrots were much bigger! Turnips and cabbages, more of that garlic, radishes and greens and more beet tops.

And here's the cherry pitting assembly line. We had a contest yesterday - or rather Dan and Todd had a contest - seeing whose pile of pitted cherries cherries grew the fastest. When I took a break to photo the CSA box, my pile was dramatically reduced upon return, and theirs was much larger...hmmm....who won? We are freezing some of our cherry crop - it has been quite a dramatic quantity of cherries this year - to assure some cherry pies for later in the summer, or even next February when we really need a summer fix.
